As a member of the House Décor Team, you play a significant role in creating a warm, welcoming and comfortable environment for all families. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, you will assist by decorating and refreshing common spaces ensuring that families feel cared for, comfortable and have familiar spaces to spend their time in. We are committed to honoring diverse cultures, religions, and traditions, and to ongoing learning through reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Your creativity helps ensure that the House feels like a home to every family who walks through our doors. House Decor Volunteer

As a member of the House Services Volunteer Team, you play a significant role in creating a positive and supportive experience for all the families who stay here. In addition, you help create a friendly and comfortable environment by assisting with the daily operations of the House and ensuring the family’s needs are taken care of. The House Services Volunteer is under the direction of the House Services Team and will work closely with our House Services staff and Family Services Associates. We value teamwork and collaboration and grateful you are part of the Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan Team! You will act as an ambassador of Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan and our values both in the House and in the community.

Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan is partnered with Tykes and Tots Early Child Learning Centre to offer Child Care every Wednesday evening. Through this agreement, Tykes and Tots (a licensed Early Learning Centre) will provide a certified Child Care Educator who is responsible for the program and the children attending. Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan is also responsible for the provision of supplies and for promoting the program to families. As a volunteer for this program, you play an important role in creating a safe and comfortable environment for the children of our families, as well as providing parents and caregivers much needed personal time to take care of themselves and rejuvenate in order to care for their sick or injured child. You will report to the Tykes and Tots staff person and the Family Service Associates and Family Programs staff lead.

As a member of the Kitchen Rejuvenation Team, you play a significant role in creating a home-like environment for all the families who stay at Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan. Under the direction of the Food Programs Manager and Food Programs Associates, you will provide a clean and organized space for families to prepare their meals for the day. As the kitchen is the heart of the home, we want the families who stay with us to feel the comforts of their home, and you will be integral in making this happen. Living plants not only add beauty, but also purify the air, soften shared spaces, and offer families a comforting connection to the familiar sights and feelings of home. Plants often spark conversation and connection between volunteers, staff, and other families, which can bring comfort during a challenging time. By caring for the plants and floral arrangements in the House, you contribute to a space where every family feels respected and at home. Under the direction of the Facility Coordinator, you are responsible for the collection, sorting, and delivery of recycled goods to the appropriate facilities, as well as returning any monetary refunds to our Finance Office.
