Plant Care Volunteer

As a member of the Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan Volunteer Team, you play a significant role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for the families who stay here. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, you are responsible for the ongoing care and health of our indoor plants. Living plants not only add beauty, but also purify the air, soften shared spaces, and offer families a comforting connection to the familiar sights and feelings of home. Plants often spark conversation and connection between volunteers, staff, and other families, which can bring comfort during a challenging time. By caring for the plants and floral arrangements in the House, you contribute to a space where every family feels respected and at home. We value teamwork and collaboration and we are grateful that you are a part of the Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan Team!

  • For visits to the House 2 hours or less, please park on University Drive west of Clarence Ave.
  • For visits two hours or longer, park in the ONE volunteer parking space in the lot (if open). Alternatively, you can park in a family parking space in the lot if there is one available. If you are parking in the lot, you MUST register with the front desk to ensure we are able to contact you while on your volunteer shift in case of needing to move your vehicle for emergencies. Unregistered vehicles may be towed.
