Our first experience in Ronald McDonald House was when my son Ghio Frince Villanea was diagnosed with brain tumor on August 11, 2025. Our home is a 2-hour drive from Kindersley to Saskatoon.
At first, we don’t know where to stay or just stay in the hospital. A lot of people recommend getting a room at The Ronald McDonald House. At first, I thought it was the fast-food outlet, so I was hesitant to call and get a room. Then I told my wife to go there and check. Then she returned with a cookie and a coffee since we haven’t gotten any breakfast yet.
Our stay is wonderful. my wife’s favourite part of the house is the kitchen cause she is always cooking. While my kids are always in the basement in the playroom. Me, my favourite spot was the quiet room, and you’ll be surprised cause there’s a massage chair waiting for you to relax.
The staff are really helpful and friendly it’s always a home away from home. A place where you don’t feel alone…
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
