Hospitality Cart Volunteer

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all Ronald McDonald House SK Procedures, Protocols and Policies as well as all hospital rules and codes of conduct including personal health guidelines.   
• Maintain personal/professional boundaries with families, children and staff served 
• Be responsible for cleaning/disinfecting and preparing cart before each session. 
• Hand all snacks & other items from the cart to families to minimize contamination. 
• Act as an ambassador of Ronald McDonald House SK within the hospital. 
• Maintain statistics on all persons served. 
• Provide excellent customer service at all times. 

Qualifications:

• Able to deal with the public, staff & other volunteers in a supportive, friendly and hospitable manner 
• Ability to walk/stand for duration of shift 
• Enthusiastic and willing to take initiative 
• Be dependable, arriving on time as scheduled 
• Keep a neat and clean appearance 
• Able to pass a background check 
• Provide two personal reference letters 
• Must be 19 years or older 

Training & Support:

• General orientation and training will be provided through SHA and Ronald McDonald House SK 
• Role specific training will be provided 
• Continuing training and support will be offered to all volunteers.  

Time Commitment:

• Weekly shift of 3 hours per week for a commitment of 6 months
