Adhere to all Ronald McDonald House SK Procedures, Protocols and Policies as well as all hospital rules and codes of conduct including personal health guidelines.
Maintain personal/professional boundaries with families, children and staff served
Be responsible for cleaning/disinfecting and preparing cart before each session.
Hand all snacks & other items from the cart to families to minimize contamination.
Act as an ambassador of Ronald McDonald House SK within the hospital.
Maintain statistics on all persons served.
Provide excellent customer service at all times.
Qualifications:
Able to deal with the public, staff & other volunteers in a supportive, friendly and hospitable manner
Ability to walk/stand for duration of shift
Enthusiastic and willing to take initiative
Be dependable, arriving on time as scheduled
Keep a neat and clean appearance
Able to pass a background check
Provide two personal reference letters
Must be 19 years or older
Training & Support:
General orientation and training will be provided through SHA and Ronald McDonald House SK
Role specific training will be provided
Continuing training and support will be offered to all volunteers.
Time Commitment:
Weekly shift of 3 hours per week for a commitment of 6 months
